Passion for Adventure and Nature

Puerto Rico Bio Bay Tours was founded by a dynamic husband and wife team, Michael S. Grasso Jr. and Nilsa Montanez, who have dedicated the last 29 years to crafting unique and exhilarating experiences for their guests. Michael, known as the 'Drill Sergeant' for his meticulous attention to detail, has been instrumental in developing and executing all aspects of the Bio Bay tours. Nilsa, the heart of the business, ensures that every operation runs smoothly. Together, they have built a company that not only offers thrilling adventures but also prioritizes environmental stewardship. Michael & Nilsa

President and Office Administrator of Puerto Rico Bio Bay Tours LLC. owners and founders are a husband and wife team that for the last 29 years have worked together pushing daily to bring a professional, quality standard to our guests and clients, working toward our goal of a “Fun, Safe, and Memorable Experience every time!” Pushing to become known for our concern for the environment and implementation of laws that will help protect it. Michael S. Grasso Jr. President & CEO, he is a key player on the Puerto Rico Bio Bay Tours team, his ability to develop, create and bring to life all points of field operations is his passion! Creating and building all Bio Bay tours from the paper to legal operating adventures, he has earned the nickname of “Drill Sergeant” for his unwillingness to overlook the smallest of details. Nilsa Montanez our Secretary and Treasurer and the heart of the business is the office administrator. She oversees all office related matters and keeps the day to day operations in line along with one of the most important tasks of keeping bookings and reservations organized and timely. At the end of the day, our most important asset is our guests and that we have met our promise to give them a “Fun, Safe, Memorable Experience every time!” We are proud to promote Puerto Rico and its natural and cultural wonders! As the owners we are but only a small part of the Puerto Rico Bio Bay Tours team, our guides are the true front line of our tours.

Patricia M. Grasso Montañez

Greetings, my name is Patricia M. Grasso Montañez, PRBBT Administrative Assistant. I am a twenty two year old university student aiming for a bachelors degree in marketing and business administration. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico by Michael and Nilsa my parents and the company owners. I am proud to be a part of my family’s business that is dedicated to sharing the wonders of our beautiful island with all of its lovely visitors. I hope to be of good service and make your experience the best possible.

Luis Sanchez

My name is Luis Adan Sanchez . I have been part of the team since 2000 in which I have developed a passion for nature and showing Puerto Rico beautiful natural resources. At the present I work as tour guide and operation manager, guiding guests to Laguna Grande and explaining all the awesome natural aspects that’s co exist in the same area. When I’m not enjoying with guests in Laguna Grande, my love for nature extends to one of my favorite hobbies which are surfing, motorcycle, horses, agriculture and I also enjoy playing sports.

Héctor Báez Sanjurjo

My name is Héctor Báez Sanjurjo. I have been part of the team since 2007 in which I have developed a passion for nature and showing guests Puerto Rico’s beautiful natural resources. At the present I work as Lead Guide, guiding guests into and out of Laguna Grande and explaining all the awesome natural aspects that’s co exist in the same area. When I’m not enjoying with guests in Laguna Grande, my love for nature extends to one of my favorite hobby which is surfing. I also enjoy playing sports, music and meeting new people.

Gustavo Quiñones

My name is Gustavo Quiñones, I am one of the lead guides for Puerto Rico Bio Bay Tours. My hobbies include, Music, mediation, martial arts training and learning about different concepts. I am passionate about teaching and about Nature and I love that I can do both!

Jorge Candelaria

My name is Jorge Candelaria and I have been a part of Puerto Rico Bio Bay Tours guide team for about 20 years, I love to travel and learn about history. My hobby is to do internal tourism, the best thing I like about my job is that I can show people our beautiful island, its natural resources and share my knowledge with them!

José F. Palacios

My name is José F. Palacios. I have been part of the Bio Bay team since 2021. At the present I work as roamer, making sure our guests stay safe and make into and out of Laguna Grande and showing the beauties of nature. When I’m not in the water, I teach music in a High School. I also sing and play guitar in different places on the island. I invite all our visitors to enjoy the hidden beauties of Puerto Rico with responsibility and respect. Bless!

You don't have to worry about finding someone to watch your little one as you paddle out under a star filled sky. They will love seeing the water light up mysteriously as you paddle into and around Laguna Grande our bioluminescent lagoon. If your visit to Puerto Rico happens during a full moon phase, join us under the moonlight and see the things that would normally be missed on the darkest nights, even though the glowing waters are best seen during the darkest nights the experience can still be magical as the moon light dances on the water.
